Hello! My name is Pilar and I am the face behind VLC Hand Fans. Coming from the birthplace of hand fans in Valencia, Spain, it only made sense to get involved in the trade. Numerous family members have dedicated their lives to the artisan production of hand fans, from the hand-carving of each individual wooden stick to the delicate design of the intricate fabrics.

Moving to the UK, my daughter Isabel and I feel it is our duty to bring this wonderful item over. Not only is it a brilliant way to cool down in the Summer, but it is also a striking fashion accessory and unique piece of art to showcase either at home or out and about.

All our fans are hand-crafted, hand-painted and hand-assembled in Spain, making each individual fan unique. We only use top-of-the-range woods, such as Sipo, Palo Santo and Ebony. These are combined with the most exquisite fabrics to create luxurious designs for distinctive, one-of-a-kind hand fans.
